How do you warm-up precooked seafood?

Seafood, unlike pastas or even meat, has a delicate texture that easily dries out with a reheating. Presteamed crabs and lobsters, however, have a “trump card” with the option to dunk the meat in hot butter, which instantly heats it. No need to light the burners or turn up the oven. If you feel the urge to warm the crabs or lobsters, stay away from the microwave since it will certainly disappoint. In many cases the outside cooks to a “piping hot,” while the inside is cold. You also run the risk of the “rubbery effect.” The best bet is to preheat an oven to 275 degrees F. Then position the seafood on a tray and with a spray bottle, lightly moisturize the seafood. Cover the tray with foil and slowly heat the meat. Keep the time to 10-15 minutes. The fatty oils of the meat slowly warm up compared to the microwave, which leaves a tender, delicious result.

Possibly, you feel a sense of creativity and want to use the precooked seafood in a recipe. Crab cakes seem like an obvious choice for the blue crab, but what about Maine Lobsters? Try a traditional favorite, the New England Lobster Roll. For preparation, all you must do is pick the lobster of all its meat, claw, knuckle, and tail. Try to keep the pieces intact so you have some impressive chunks. Then find a bowl and combine the meat with mayonnaise, lemon juice, celery, and chives. Let it cool in the fridge, while you toast split-top hot dog buns generously with butter. Once ready lay a crisp lettuce leaf on the roll with a slice of a vine ripe tomato and then spread the lobster mix. Dust with Old Bay and enjoy a reimagined meal from your authentic Maine Lobsters!
